The mission behind this completely free event is to highlight the variety and depth of this iconic Japanese beverage, whose diversity is often underrated and underestimated. Sake has a stunning complexity: variations in rice polishing, fermentation methods, and regional styles result in a Sake with its own character and story. To truly understand these important distinctions, drinkers must try different varieties and styles, hence the upcoming Sake Festival!
Jaddi Internasional is bringing together more than ten renowned Sake producers for this tasting and education event. Attendees will have the chance to explore a premium selection, including: Dassai, Born, Gekkeikan, Hakuryu, Jyokigen, Keiryu, Nabeshima, Ozeki, Rihaku, Suginomori, Tanaka, and Tatenokawa. Beyond Sake, the festival will also showcase other Japanese beverages — from Soju and Shochu to Japanese beer and whiskies like Caedo, Kanosuke, Kirin, Komasa, and Tullibardine, among others.
“Sake Festival is our way of introducing the Indonesian public to the depth and variety of Japanese beverages,” shares Susan Halim, Brand Manager for Sake at Jaddi Internasional. “We encourage everyone to come and take full advantage of this opportunity. The event is completely free of charge.”
Savour the different types of sake, like the unfiltered creaminess of Nigori to the light and easy-drinking Futsushu; learn the Japanese terminology for sake tasting, like Karakuchi – dry, crisp flavour, or Amami – sweetness. Whether you’re a long-time Sake lover or entirely new to the world of Japanese rice wine, this festival promises an eye-opening (and tastebud-tingling) introduction. Kanpai!
